• Clear lacquer finish over the natural multi-toned wood (color and intensity will vary as will the characteristics of the natural wood, butterfly joints, cracks, ‘live edge’ curves, etc.  Each Desk is a unique hand-made work of art.
• ‘Floating’ solid wood top is held together with tongue and groove joinery so that the wood is free to expand and contract with the level of humidity – these expansion gaps will come and go and are a normal part of the Desk construction
• Parota is a very distinct exotic wood from Mexico and South America.  It has distinctive cracks; hand-carved butterfly joints are placed over certain areas to help control the expansion and contraction of the wood due to humidity variances, but all cracks in the wood are natural and are part of the character of Parota wood – they are not defects.
